Nobody Can Force Me Out Of Nigeria — Peter Obi Blows Hot

Peter Obi, the Labour Party's (LP) candidate for president in the most recent general election, has stated that no one can make him leave Nigeria.

He said there are too many "thieves" who are causing the masses' misery, and he pledged that his party is devoted to ridding the country's political system of such individuals. He added that his party is determined to building a new Nigeria.

He declared that he would persist until such individuals were removed from all political positions in the nation.

The former governor of Anambra state lamented that this country's residents are presenting passing judgment in their speeches at Onitsha Holiday Resort in Onitsha yesterday, where he urged to voters in this Saturday's supplementary election in Ogbaru Federal Constituency

adding that there is too much suffering in the nation, through hardship.

Prior to the supplementary election, which the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, planned to hold to decide who would win the federal constituency seat, Obi had started a road show campaign tour of the wards in the constituency.

Obi, who was joined by Senator-elect Tony Nwoye and Mr. Oseloka Obaze, explained to the locals at the various locations where he introduced the LP candidate for the constituency, Afam Ogene, that Ogene is dedicated to Obi's philosophy of "building a new Nigeria" and assured them of this " I'm here to implore you to vote for the Labour Party and Afam Ogene because if you do, he'll rebuild Ogbaru with our assistance".

“Remember that I built all these roads here when I was governor, if you vote for us in this Saturday’s re-run election, we will come back to thank you; Afam Ogene will develop here,” he said.

Meanwhile, the INEC had after the February 25 presidential and National Assembly Polls declared the election in Ogbaru federal constituency inconclusive, citing the inability of the commission to conduct an election in about 45 polling units, stating that it could not deploy electoral materials in some of them due to violence while election in some was cancelled as a result of malpractices.
