No One's Opinion Counts, Says Bride Who Wore Suit, Trousers On Wedding Day

A bride, identified as Temilade Salami, has got people talking after wearing a white suit, trousers, and hat for her civil wedding ceremony.

Reacting to a video of her wedding which went viral on Monday, Salami tweeted, "To say I don’t see this coming is a big lie. What is more TRUE is that, it is OUR wedding and no one’s opinion counts. 





"Especially on how we choose to look. There is more to come, so get ready. We had a sweet civil wedding and we are grateful for our friends & families. Enjoy!"

She also shared photos from the wedding, which showed her wearing a white suit while her husband donned a pink suit.

On-air personality, Chinedu Ani, popularly known as Nedu, urged women to marry older and more financially secure men because younger men had a tendency to be influenced by extravagant activities.

He made this known in a podcast shared on Monday.

Nedu said, "Ladies, let me encourage you. If you have that older man that is eyeing you, that wants to marry you, he is 45, 50 you are still 20 or something, you are an adult, does he have the wherewithal to take care of you?  If he does, go ahead.

“That young guy that you want to marry now, don’t you think that young guy misbehavior go still dey the young guy body? 

"But this older man, wetin he dey find? He don go club finish. He is not thinking of Ferrari, he is thinking of Rolls Royce.

“It is suffering if you go for an older man that does not have money, you are wasting your time."

Nollywood actor, Kunle Afolayan,  has expressed his excitement after winning five Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards on Saturday evening.

The actor shared pictures from the event and the five awards via his Instagram account on Monday.

He thanked God, his families, colleagues and friends for their support, saying, “All thanks to Olodumare 5 Awards. Congratulations to the winning team. Thanks to #naijaonnetflix for the partnership to make the film, and thanks to #africamagic for the recognition.




“Thanks to the #kunlesfolayanfans and soldiers out there. Thanks to Maami and all my well-wishers for the prayers and thanks to families and friends for the support.”




Afolayan’s movie Anikulapo won 5 categories out of the 16 it was nominated for. It won in the categories; Best Indigenous Language’ (Yoruba), Best Overall Movie, Best Sound Editor (movie/TV series), Best Writer (Movie/TV series), and Best Sound Track (movie/TV series).

Femi Otedola, billionaire businessman, says history would be made in the Nigerian energy sector with the soon-to-be inaugurated Dangote Refinery.

Otedola shared his thought on the project in a tweet on Sunday after a visit to the facility.

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday, May 22, 2023, inaugurate the Dangote Refinery, Africa’s largest oil refinery.

The project, which is worth $19 billion, is an integrated refinery and petrochemical project.
