With just four days to the end of his eight-year tenure in office, President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday dropped a hint about what he would be doing as one of his favourite pastimes in his country home, Daura, Katsina. He said with enough time in hands he would return to animal husbandry, which involves day-to-day care, selective breeding, and the raising of his cattle. “I will also be happy to do the many things that I have not been able to since May 29th, 2015, one of such is my favorite pastime of taking care of my cattle,” Buhari stated. The president spoke during a valedictory session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and at a meeting with staff of Aso Villa, as part of a countdown on his eight-year administration. At the valedictory session held in the council chamber of the presidential villa, Buhari thanked all the ministers for their steadfastness in pursuing the goals of the administration, urging support for the incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even from outside government. President Buhari thanked the ministers for working closely together, despite many odds and challenges, and sustaining the synergy that translated into many achievements. |

Akon Denies Calling Out Elon Musk For Making People Pay For Twitter Blue
Akon, the Senegalese-American singer, has denied recent reports about him.
He denied calling out Twitter owner, Elon Musk for slapping prices on the microblogging site’s blue verification badges.
The ‘Oh Africa’ crooner had in a now-deleted tweet accused Elon Musk of “forcing” people to pay the Twitter verification that was created to protect accounts from fake ones, insisting that he won’t pay for the new Twitter blue subscription.
“Back in the day, Twitter was begging musicians to stay on cause they don’t have traffic. They came up with a verification process to protect accounts from take ones, now @elonmusk is taking that away and forcing us to pay- FYI, I’m ain’t paying shit for something we helped build,” a tweet from the singer’s verified account read on April 1, 2023.
However, in a new tweet posted on Tuesday [today], Akon denied making the remarks, claiming that his account was hacked.
He wrote, “My account was just hacked. This tweet didn’t come from me. Whoever hacked my account, please keep your personal opinions away from my profile respectfully.”
Recall that in November, 2022, Twitter announced plans to charge $19.99 for the new Twitter Blue subscription.
The blue subscription is one the company’s most controversial projects since Musk’s $44 billion takeover of Twitter on April 14, 2022.
Portable Released From Ilaro Prison After Fulfilling His Bail Condition (Video)
Singer Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable has regained his freedom after meeting his bail condition.
He was released from Ilaro Correctional Centre at about 6pm yesterday evening after his bail bond was presented at the Ilaro correctional center where the judge asked he is kept until his bail conditions are fulfilled.
Earlier yesterday, the singer was arraigned before the Ijo Magistrate court on three counts bordering on assault and theft of musical instruments. Delivering his ruling on the bail application made by his counsel, the presiding magistrate admitted the singer to bail on N300,000 with two sureties in the like sum in the case which bothered on stealing. In the other case, which bothered on assault, the court granted the accused bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
The court also ordered that the singer be remanded in the Ilaro correctional center until he fulfills his bail condition.
The case was however adjourned till the 26th of April for the commencement of trial.

Guinness World Records Releases New Statement On Hilda Baci
Following Nigerian chef Hilda Baci’s recent feat, Guinness World Records has released an official statement.
Recall that Baci, a Nigerian and an Akwa Ibom State native, surpassed the record for the longest cooking time by an individual, with a 100-hour record time. Baci beat Indian chef, Lata Tondon, who had completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in 2019.
The statement, released on their official website read; “She’s hoping to snap up the record title for the longest cooking marathon (individual) which currently belongs to Lata Tondon (India) with a time of 87 hr 45 min.
“Hilda began cooking on Thursday and continued through to Monday, reportedly whipping up 55 recipes and more than 100 meals in a whopping 100-hour stint.
“Officials on our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to be able to verify Hilda’s efforts as a new record very soon.”
According to the British reference body, one of its spokespersons said they “are looking forward to receiving the evidence for its Records Management Team to review before we can confirm the record is official.”

Pastor Divorces Wife After Herbalist Died On Top Of Her During S3x Romp In Ekiti Hotel
The marriage between Pastor Joshua Ajagunigbala and his wife, Rita Ajagunigbala has been dissolved.
The 22-year marriage collapsed in Ekiti State after a herbalist died on top of the pastor’s wife during s3x romp in a hotel.
Accordng to P.M.EXPRESS, Pastor Joshua stated that his marriage was dissolved at the Ekiti State Customary Court after he filed a divorce suit seeking for the dissolution of the marriage with Rita on the grounds of adultery.
The petitioner, Pastor Ajagunigbala, during the hearing prayed the Court to dissolve the union on the ground of adultery and the custody of his children be given to him.
In evidence, he told the Court that he had not paid the dowry of the respondent and they had lived together for more than 22 years and had children.
He also informed the Court that it was the third time he had taken her to Court on the ground of adultery, stating that the respondent in 2017 started having an illicit affair with a herbalist called Ifidayomi a.k.a Ejiogbe, who is now late.
He narrated that the Herbalist died on top of the respondent while having s3xual intercourse in a hotel at Ikere-Ekiti on 2nd January, 2023, which led to a commotion and made thugs to destroy his house and his church at Ikere.
He lamented that her action led to his suspension by his Church authority and because of this, he is no longer interested in the union and pleaded with the Court to dissolve the union and give him custody of his children.
Mrs. Ajagunigbala, in response, admitted having s3xual relationship with the late herbalist. She stated that her relationship with the Herbalist was because of lack of care from the petitioner. She said that she had been the one responsible for the feeding of the children and their school fees. She claimed that she had incurred so much debt, which the late Ejiogbe helped her to offset.
During the hearing, the Court noted that their marriage was illegal because payment of dowry was not involved in the union as such there was no marriage to dissolve.
The President of the Court, Mr. Joseph Oyedele, while declaring judgment on the matter, held that there was no legal customary marriage between the two of them, adding that they are free to go their separate ways.
He said, “Having gone through all the oral evidence presented before this Court, it was discovered that there was no legal customary marriage between parties herein and there is no marriage available between parties to dissolve”.
“The Court hereby order that the parties are now free to go on their own without disturbing the peace of each other.”
The Court ordered, the petitioner, Mr. Ajagunigbala, to take full responsibility of the welfare and education of the last two children the union produced because they are still minors.
“On the issue of the custody of the children, the Court can only order on the last two children of the marriage because they are yet to reach the age of majority. The first two children are free to decide under whose care they can live between the two parties because they are no longer minors.”
“However, the Court order that the last two children of the association (Olarewaju and Victoria Ajagunigbala) are to be with the petitioner and the petitioner is to be responsible for their welfare and education.”

According to Rotimi, Savage is his cousin.
